There has been some interest on the drill I use for the filter cleaning socket tool that appears in some videos on my Channel.
This Stanley drill is the best drill that I tested.
Also tried the Black & Decker LDX120C 20-Volt MAX Lithium-Ion Cordless Drill/Driver but with only 650 Max RPM it struggled with the Spring Barrel bolts. Plus the battery took awhile to charge.
The Hitachi 18 V Ni-Cad Cordless Driver Drill with 400 in lbs of torque and 1,200 Max was a good drill. But the Stanley was just more powerful all around.
On occasion with the Spring Barrel nuts I will hit the back clamp with a rubber mallet to get a snug fit when using the Stanley drill. Usually on the older FNS Plus filters.
Set this drill on Speed 2 and the max setting of 1,500 (turn dial so it is just below the hammer symbol) and this thing rocks. So much power in this drill that sometimes I need to be careful I don't over do it on the filter clamps
Overall for the price you are getting a great product. The battery life is great and even if you need to charge it while working it will take 20 to 30 minutes to fully charge. So no worries there.
It is durable and comes with a 3 year warranty. I think it is also well made and crafted and is all-metal - which makes it slightly heavy but not ungainly.
I got this on Walmart.com for $79.99 plus free shipping. For the price you are getting a drill that should cost $199.99. It is that good and that powerful. I love mine.
