Upgrading the battery pack on a $16 drill to these high capacity 6000mA/h NiMH batteries. This should beat the price of buying a new drill. The original charger is dated 10/09, while the original battery pack say's 12/05 inside. No wonder it did not charge or last long. The battery was already 4 years old when it was sold new. Investing $30 into a $16 drill seems crazy, but am going on others advice. Now this HF drill should be as good as any one out there. Plus, it now has higher capacity batteries. In contrast, the Makita drill just keeps going, & going, & it's got to be at least 15 years old, & all original. But am sure it did not cost $16 either.
